Ahhhh....just what I needed--the Festive 500! The good folks at Rapha have laid down a challenge--to ride 500km between December 23-30. I suppose if one had no family, was on vacation for the holidays, and lived in a warm-weather climate, this would be no big deal. However, given that the kids are home from school, I'm working the night shift 4 of the 7 nights and we've been below freezing for close to a week now with morning temperatures in the single digits, this is going to be tough. But I'll tell you what--the challenge of riding 500km outside under these conditions is so much more motivating than the thought of riding the trainer watching Tour de France reruns. Can't wait to get started!
