Dirty Sled

So it has been a while since my last post...the pbville debacle really sucked a lot of momentum out of the big guy. I am in a slump that needs to be recognized and admitted to. My training since returning to NE has included 3 laps around Tranquility with Quinn, a handful of spins on the trainer, and a few weight room sessions. I am totally not psyched about the bike lately. I haven't taken the mud or the race numbers off her yet. I guess it is a reminder that the race was so shitty. I know I could do better but wonder why I didn't just go faster.

Get that Bike cleaned up and get back on it Cowboy. I also had a bummer of a Leadville experience in 2006. I pulled myself out at the 90 mile mark, I was freezing my butt off. I had no idea just how very true Ken's comments about not finishing would be. I went back the next summer just to ride the last 13 miles. I have since finished the event twice and now have two buckles that I never have a place to wear. Once you finish the race you'll spend weeks wondering why ,how, you can do it faster the next time. You will without a doubt think about that ride everyday until you get to do it again. My wife likes to call 2008 race the summer I " killed the demons".
